Your story. Written in pearls.
Onaia (oh-NYE-uh) necklaces are more than jewelry.
They are intended as a ritual to pause, reflect, and say “that mattered, that changed me.” Just like pearls are born out of adversity, our lives are built layer by layer: grit, resilience, grace, heartbreak, triumph.
Onaia is a living part of your story, intended to honor the seasons of your life that have made you who you are, and the chapters and defining moments that are to come. The pearls represent victories and challenges, milestones and setbacks, triumphs and heartbreaks, and everything between. As your story continues, string on new pearls or modify your Onaia as you’d like, because your story is worthy to be documented and shared.
Real Women's Stories, Your Stories
The Inspiration
"Since launching KB Design HTX, I’ve welded bracelets for over 8,000 women. And in those quiet, powerful moments when you’ve sat across from me, I’ve heard your incredible stories of resilience, fresh starts, joy, heartbreak, and everything in between. Those stories have stayed with me, and they led me here. I want to honor all of you and your stories through Onaia.
As women, our lives are built layer by layer: grit, resilience, grace, heartbreak, triumph. Similarly, a pearl is born from adversity and overcomes it to create something beautiful and luminous.
Your Onaia necklace is your story how you have experienced it and want to tell it. This is my tribute to you."

How It Works
Onaia’s 14k gold necklace begins with an Anchor Pearl. Pearls, much like our stories as women, are born out of adversity and then shaped into something luminous and strong. Throughout history, and with Onaia, pearls represent resilience and transformation, wisdom and enlightenment, purity and new beginnings, balance and harmony, and love and loyalty.
Onaia necklaces feature a clasp and a detachable silicone bead, allowing you to string pearls on or remove them at any time by pushing the chain wire back through the bead. Unlike Eterna permanent jewelry, which involves in-person welding with Kelly, the Onaia experience, from ordering to customizing, can be done from your home.
Your Onaia necklace is meant to be fluid – you can build upon or modify yours as often as feels meaningful to you and your story.
The Name
Onaia comes from the Basque word “ona,” which means “she.” This is her necklace. Her journey. Her becoming.
Onaia Stories
Women’s stories are deeply personal and also worthy to be shared. Onaia is intended as a ritual to pause, reflect, and say “that mattered, that changed me.” It’s also an opportunity to share your story with other women, and by doing so, support and encourage one another through shared experiences.
Onaia Stories
Kim (mom) & Kate (daughter)
Kim: My first grandchild was just born on Saturday. I’m going to add a pearl for every person in my family since my family is growing!
Kate: I didn’t want to put too much pressure on my first pearl. I thought as the start it could just signify choosing happiness for myself. This is something that I started being mindful about not too long ago and I immediately thought of it when starting my Onaia necklace. At the same time, I couldn’t help but to think of my dog, Beckham. He has truly been the most wonderful presence in my life. I can’t imagine my life without him and everything about my life improved when I got him.
Going forward, I want to continue to celebrate things that make me truly happy. I have been on the other end of the “happiness spectrum” and I just want to continue to celebrate life with a positive and optimistic outlook. Almost like a gratitude necklace. I started a company with my dad this year. My sister just had a baby and I am training for 2 marathons in 2026. I hope to use my necklace to appreciate these big wins as well as the small ones - like changing my attitude when I wake up in a slump! A win is a win.
Onaia Stories
Grace
The story behind my Onaia necklace is that it represents the celebration of my traditional wedding that happened on July 19, 2025 in Libreville, Gabon. My husband and I have been married since June 18, 2014 in Houston, however in our culture, the traditional wedding is the most important celebration. My Onaia necklace is the symbol of my traditional union with my husband full of happiness, love and blessings from both of our families.

Lauren
My pearls represent:
- My faith and testimony, starting with all the family that prayed for my faith before I was even born, through the early years, and now as I teach my kids.
- The year I was elected to be the chaplain of my sorority. I was so nervous (terrified) to talk in front of my chapter (200+ women) and it ended up being such a blessing and really shaped my college experience.
- My marriage through the good and the bad. The Lord is always refining us and creating a beautiful life.
- My kids, they’re shaping me to be a better person and love more deeply.
- My corporate life of 13 years. I never really felt like I was doing the right thing but now I can see all the lessons I learned that are invaluable!
Onaia Stories
Mallory
One simple pearl to represent a traumatic event in my life. I survived and walked away from an automobile accident that left me in a coma and needed to learn how to walk and talk again at the ripe young age of 16. The doctors told me I would never be the same, and I never was the same, but I truly believe I am a better person today from the lessons I learned during such an awful time of my life. Having survived a major left frontal lobe brain injury and entire face reconstruction taught me that tomorrow is never promised. Even if tomorrow was promised, it may not ever be the same as it is today. Our almighty God gives and takes as He has planned for your life and each day is a gift. I would not be here today without my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and my parents.
