These hand embroidered Otomi face masks are sewn by artisans in Hidalgo, Mexico. Not only are they a stylish way to face our "new normal, but you can feel good about your purchase because I will be donating 100% of sales back to the artists who made them.
I met these artists last year at the annual Féria de Los Maestros in Chapala, Mexico, which is an event that brings together the very best artists throughout Mexico to show and sell their wares. I have loved the brilliant colors and designs of Otomi embroidery for as long as I can remember, so getting to meet and befriend this family meant a lot to me. Sadly, their livelihood has been devastated by the cancellations of férias due to the pandemic. I am sending the total of all sales back to their family- your purchase is literally putting food on their table, so for that, I thank you!
Your mask is made of 100% cotton and is hand embroidered. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the beauty of the embroidery. Since each mask is hand sewn and embroidered, no two masks will be alike - the mask you receive will be unique and may look different from the mask shown in the picture.
Each mask measures 3 inches by 7 inches with elastic loops that can be adjusted for a comfortable fit. One size fits most adults
I am offering front porch pick up to anyone in Houston- please designate in the “Notes to Seller” section at checkout that you would like to pick up your mask rather than have them shipped to you
All purchases of face masks are FINAL SALE- for health reasons I am unable to accept returns or exchanges
